San Antonio, TX-

After eight minutes, both teams headed to the bench with a tight game, Clark leading 15-13. Not long after the second quarter started the offense would erupt. Clark started an offensive barrage led by seniors Ramsey Robledo (St. Mary’s Signee) and Kaitlin Whitlock, who would hit back to back three-pointers, and help spur an 11-2 run, making it a 26-15 advantage in the matter of moments.

The onslaught form outside would continue, as both Robledo and Whitlock would combine for six three pointers in the first half alone. Each would hit three of them, and it paced the Lady Cougars to a comfortable 34-20 halftime lead.

Anchoring the middle was 6’4” Arianna Roberson for Clark, and her play was a big factor in helping stymie the Lady Bears. She was effective offensively and defensively throughout the contest, finishing with 14pts, 13rebs and 4blks. Another double-double for the top ’24 prospect in the Tri-Regions.

Out of the halftime break, Taylor Ross would hit the offensive glass for Brennan and get a point blank put back, to make it a 34-22 contest, and that would be the closest the Lady Bears would get the rest of the way.

Robledo would dial up another trey, Roberson would connect from behind the arc as well, and then Whitlock would get a steal at three-fourths of the court, and turn on the jets to finish at the rim with her left hand. Clark would go up 46-24 at this point, late in the 3Q, and not look back. They would cruise the remaining 10 minutes, and secure their second consecutive Region IV 6A title, with the 57-38 win.

Clark’s scoring was balanced across the board. Four players hit double figures, the aforementioned Robledo had 12 points, Whitlock with 16, Roberson had 14, and Kamryn Griffin added 10 points. Clark is now 31-3 on the season and will await the details of their opponent and tip off time, in the State Semifinals next weekend.
