(Day 2 Standouts)
Our staff quickly highlights some players who have caught our eye after day two at the Summer Hoopsfest.

Gio Arranda 6’0”- 2025 AFTP 15U
A playmaker that has shown that he can knock down the 3 and get to the rim. Rebounds well on both ends of the floor. Shares the ball with his team but is assertive enough to go on a run of his own when he gets hot.

Dakari Hodge 6’3”- 2023 SA Fire 17U
Has a solid frame and scores on all three levels. He has a pure shot and if left open will knock it down. Capable of getting 4+ threes in just one half of a game.

Shug Jinkal 6’2”- 2025 SA Future White 15U
Slashing guard that drives and finishes well. Plays best in transition and in games with a lot of pace. Good defender with good enough hands and the ability to run through passing lanes and poke the ball loose from ball handlers. Can hit short jumpers in the lane.

Carter Crist - 2025 SAHE Gray 16U
A scorer that can fill it up in bunches. His 3-point shot is nearly automatic and plays with a lot of energy. Picks his spots well and did not see him take a bad shot. Makes his free throws in clutch time. Willing rebounder and ball handler at end of games.

Jordan Balderaz 6’5”- 2023 TX Hardwork Soto 17U
Does it all on the court. Plays defense against post, takes charges on driving guards, scores in the paint and is strong with the ball.

Kalvin Petty 6’4-Team GPS 15u
Has a strong frame which allows him to take advantage of smaller defenders inside. Can be an excellent rebounder on both ends as well as defends multiple positions.

JaShaun Kindred 6’0”-Texas Hardwork Black 15u
Strong guard who excels in the open floor and has the ability to beat defenders off the dribble consistently. Has potential to be a threat at all levels as his 3-point continues to gain consistency.

Adrian Brooks 6’1”- SA Legends 15U
A hard-nosed guard who is explosive and displayed his athleticism on both ends and showed he can play above the rim. Thrives in open court situations and has the ability to lockdown on defense.

Sam Mckinney 6’6” – ATX Force 17U
For nearly two years now we’ve seen his athleticism and he continues to impressively play above the rim. Has a nice mid-range touch and showed he can hit from beyond the arc. Can hit double digits in the rebound column as well.

Keshav Vijaykumar 6’2” NLR Elite 15U
Long and lanky frame for a prospect only headed to the 7th grade. Exudes a quiet confidence and his shot backed it up. If he wasn’t seen connecting from the perimeter, he didn’t have many issues attacking off the bounce and finishing at the rim.

RJ Marquez 5'10" HD Toros Elite 17U
The jitter bug point guard showed he can also light up the nets in a hurry. Consistently showed he's a threat from the perimeter. Quickness to attack and get by defenders. Looks to make the next pass, but as we said, we'll put the ball in the hole if needed.

Daryl Banks 6’6” – SAF Hyrbid 17U
The incoming sophomore has taken visible leaps in his game. Most notably his handles and perimeter shot. Multiple times he showed confidence to attack from the wing or short corner, facing up and putting the ball on the floor. Stretching out his perimeter game will make him an even tougher match-up.
