After two days of action, our AlamoCityHoops Staff has been glued to the hardwood, keeping eyes on the talent.

Here are some of the standouts from the CenTX Hoopsfest through Saturday.

(Players listed are in no particular ranking or order)

Kirk Queensborogh (Young Pro Global 16U)
An athletic Guard who can score in bunches with the use of his strength and quickness. He showed the ability to score inside with a variety of finishes, as he is aggressive downhill. In His final game of the day  he made four three-pointers and ended with 22 points.

Amaree Garmon (Lubbock Elite 16U)
This is an Explosive Point Guard who impacts the game on both ends. Throughout the day he showed his athleticism with highlight dunks and lockdown defense. He made shots both from the midrange and from deep consistently.

Adam Jackson (Young Pro Global/2024)
Extremely fast Point Guard who has touch around the rim and can fill it up from deep. He can create his own shot well with a tight handle and flourishes in transition with his speed. His ability to shoot and attack caused problems for defenses.

Keshav Vijaykumar (Next Level Raiders/2027)
Quick guard with a good handle and is a consistent shooter from midrange and the 3. He created his own shots and finished strong around the rim. Can be an excellent passer when attacking the paint. Is only a 7th grader.

Shawn Williams (TX Hardwork Brown/2025)
A 6’6 big man who uses his body well and finishes strong around the basket. He scored more than 20 points in both his games leading his team to a 2-0 record. Alongside his scoring he is an active rebounder at both ends and showed he can swat shots as well.

Kenji Franklin Jr (STAT Elite Hollmon/2025)
Has been very impressive, showing multiple key attributes coaches will look for in a player. He is a very lanky kid that can shoot the ball very well, but also uses his length to his advantage on the defensive-end altering shots on defense. Can handle the ball allowing him to beat defenders to the basket, an important attribute to have as a bigger/taller guard.

Damareon Williams (THP White 17U/2023)
Williams was tough to guard all day long to say the least. In his final game of the day, he had 24 points and 4 steals, getting to the basket at will. His quickness and fast handles make it very complicated for defenders to stay in front of him once he gets downhill. He can hit you with an array of moves and will get to his spots, creating his own shot and rarely ever taking a bad one.  

Jaylen Gardner (SAHE Black 17U/2023)
Contributed in multiple ways the entire day, a big reason why SAHE Black is one of only five 17U teams that are 3-0 after day two of action. Posted a huge double-double, 24 points 11 rebounds, in a win against the Katy Warriors 17U. He bully-balled defenders in the paint with his size and used his hops to rebound, producing multiple putbacks off second chance points. In the teams second game of the day, Gardner had a key bucket in overtime putting his team up 1 with just 20 seconds remaining. He then turned around right after the made bucket and deflected a pass on the press, causing his team to get the ball back.

Donny Thomas (SA Future White/2024)
Thomas was a problem from the jump and caught our attention quickly. He is very lanky and quick for his size. At 6’3” he does a good job of handling the ball, being able to take defenders off the dribble. He uses his size to rebound very well and will finish around the basket. He had 18 points in a win for his squad as they remain 2-0 after day two of play.

Henry Sanchez (Austin ProSkills 17U/2023)
One of the toughest players to guard so far. He can score in bunches. During ProSkills first game of the day, he netted 29 points, scoring however he wanted against the defense. His handle is very quick and impressive, he can dig deep into his bag of tricks in order to get to his spot. Also finished multiple times through contact and did a great job of knocking down free throws.

Max George (SA Tarheels/2024)
A bigger guard that can move, he's an offensive powerhouse who knows how to position himself under the basket for easy layups and rebounds. Can score from the perimeter or get down hill and use his strength to finish at the hoop.

Luke Garrison- (Next Level Raiders/2026)
Super agile and athletic player. He has great skill and control when it comes to his handles and ball movement. In addition he can finish through contact but knows how and when to pass with great court awareness. 

Jeremiah Charles (Team GPS/2023)
A guard who can move quickly and efficiently with a nice shot from beyond the arc. Also a high IQ player who can set up a play and put fellow teammates in scoring position.
