With day one in the books for our Queens of the Hardwood in San Antonio, TX, our staff highlights some of the top performers from Saturday.

Averi Aaron (Boerne Bears/2024)
Is a strong post player who uses her frame to her advantage. Very unselfish and found open teammates when the defense swarmed her around the basket. Was able to score the ball very efficiently around the basket and showed the ability to step out and knock down the three ball as well. Also keeps possessions alive doing a great job rebounding the ball on both sides of the floor. Definitely a player to watch this weekend as her Boerne Bears team is 2-0 after Day 1 at Queens of The Hardwood.

Ramsey Robledo (SAHE Gold JK/2023)
A lanky guard who is showing more and more ability to put the ball on the floor and create her own shot. She consistently showed that she can definitely knock down the three ball from just about anywhere around the arc, but is looking more scary as she develops her handles.

Used a quick first step along with a variety of moves to beat her defenders and makes good decisions finding open teammates as she collapses the defense. On the defense end she used her length to disrupt defenders and alter shots in the lane. Helped lead SAHE Gold JK to a 2-0 start on the first day of action.

Taylor Ross (SA Lady Hoops BLK/2024)
Is a high-motor post player who is very solid around the hoop. She uses her strong frame to maneuver shots around the basket and will finish through contact. Showed the ability to get out and run the floor after securing the rebound, making it tough for defenders to keep up with her in transition. Once she draws a foul, she will knock down the pair of free throws as well showing her ability to hit them consistently.

Jordin Johns (SA Lady Hoops Blue/2025)
A quick, creative guard that can beat her defender and finish in the lane while also finding open teammates for easier buckets. Played with a high motor and a chip on her shoulder. Was very aggressive in the paint and can finish with contact in the lane. She does a good job of getting to her spots and will knock down the mid-range jumper as well as the three ball.

Faith Etienne (Austin Elite Sparks/2027)
Displayed a very quick step, along with a variety of moves she used to get past defenders and score around the bucket. Is very lanky and can create her own shot, as well as knocking down jumpers. Showed she can play on both ends, blocking shots and corralling rebounds at a high rate using her size. The ceiling is extremely high on this young talent as she’s only a 7th grader.

Gabryela Galvan (SA Lady Hoops Carolina Blue/2025)
Played with energy and passion. She was positioned at the top of her team’s full court press and created chaos. Her tough on ball defense led to multiple forced turnovers and steals. Paired with her speed on offense, she created plenty of scoring opportunities in transition for SA Lady Hoops in their first game.

Jenae Moore (Players First/2025)
A player whose production on the court can’t necessarily be measured by just stats. Her competitive nature was exciting to watch throughout the day. Jenae played aggressive on-ball defense in all her games and made it difficult for the opposing teams ball handlers. She absolutely fly’s around the court whether it’s getting rebounds, deflections, or getting putbacks. She came up big creating multiple 2nd chance opportunities for her team through offensive rebounds thought out the day.

Laura Sierra (SA Islanders/2025)
An absolute beast inside for the Islanders. Laura had her way inside today grabbing the majority of her teams’ rebounds on both ends. She scored well inside despite facing harsh contact and double teams. Her toughness inside earned her multiple trips to the free throw line all day. Truly impressed with her mobility as well as she constantly ran the floor despite being her teams only big.

Chloe Donnell (SAHE Gold/2025)
A true do it all PG for her team, she played great in transition not only scoring for herself but assisting others as well. Chloe is fast with the ball as she continued to get downhill and make finishes around the rim. Contact did not phase her as she continued to attack and take multiple trips to the line. Her team feeds off her ability to score in bunches and putting others in position to score.

Simone Pryor (SA Lady Hoops Maroon/2026)
Despite her smaller size and having to play against older competition Simone made her presence known on the court. A crafty point guard with a clear feel for the game, she has a tight handle and the ability to blow by defenders at any moment. She Shot the ball well from deep as well as the mid-range. She can pull it from catch and shoot as well as off the dribble. In a game where she scored 14 points and led her team to victory it’s clear to see she has tremendous upside.

Emma Norsworthy (SA Infinity Black/2023)
An all-around player and displayed her versatility today. Although she plays forward for this team, she’s really position less, she scored the ball from the perimeter and inside with nice touch. At 5’10 she guarded every position on the court and showed no signs of let-up, as she’s a continuous rim runner who is active on the boards. Her efforts on both ends don’t go unnoticed and provided a spark for her SA Infinity team.
