The second day of ACH Live wrapped up and here are some of the teams standing unblemished...

Austin, TX-

Day 2 came and went, and some teams weren’t phased and remained undefeated heading into the third and final day of the AlamoCityHoops LIVE event. Along with other clubs who just had a very solid performance thus far.

Here are some of those teams who took care of business:

Texas Pro 16U (3-0)
Knocked off West Texas Force (81-35) and San Antonio Tarheels (88-59). An impressive display that wouldn’t have been possible without 2023 Taylan Johnson (Bryan HS). He dropped 30 points the first game of the day  and had an another 21 points the second game to round out his 25.5ppg on Saturday. Also drained 8 treys for 24 of his 51 points.

Other notable players for Texas Pro include Kaden Lewis and Zaylan Duren from A&M Consolidated, Jaydon and Jaylen Hall from Temple High School, and Devyn Hidrogo from Franklin High School

Dallas Elite 17U (3-0)
Securing wins against Arnold Elite (62-48) and Texas CGTW (65-43) on Day 2, Dallas Elite has been only one of two 17U teams to remain undefeated.

Derrick Martin Jr from Poteet High School is DEYO’s swiss army knife. Standing at 6’1, Martin has the size to bully his way to the basket, the handles of a point guard, and the 3pt range of shooting guard. When Martin’s off the ball, Gene Marshall from Lancaster High School steps in as their 3 pt threat. Marshall hit 10 treys on the day, averaging 16.5ppg.

Team GPS 17U (3-1)
GPS lost a tough game to undefeated West Texas Force but has still had a very solid performance in the 17U bracket, beating TRT (58-55) in their first game today. They’re stacked with talented players at every position.

Jordan Hernandez (Americas HS), point guard, averaged 17.5 ppg today. He can knock down some tough shots and break a press with ease. Kieran Elliott (Trinity Christian HS) and Tracy Godfrey (Frenship HS) at 6’7”, are major scoring threats for their defenders inside the paint and on the boards.

Dallas Elite 15U (3-0)
With tons of young talent these 2024’s showed great promise. Kardae Turner (2024 Madison Highschool) had a great Saturday scoring 16 against Young Pro and 17 against Drive nation. As well as Perico Smith (First Baptist Academy) who ended the day with 29 points. With multiple offensive threats, Dallas Elite was not shy to push the pace and attack the basket. So much so that they ended the day with only 5 combined threes. They get ready to play Arnold Elite National at 2:50pm Sunday.

Mamba Wolfpack 16U (3-0)
All the way from Mississippi, the Wolfpack came ready to play. Ending Saturday evening undefeated, beating all of their opponents by at least 20 points. Lead by point guard KJ Sykes and forward Kameron Beverly. Both players making a huge impact on the game, besides their ability to score the ball their presence on defense was a game changer. Forcing turnovers and leading to transitions buckets. Mamba wolfpack is looking good to win the 16U division on Sunday.

West Texas Force 17U
Arguably the best team in the tournament West Texas Force put on a show. With multiple players that opened some eyes this weekend. 6’6 Niko Smith (Strength & Motion Prep) was hard to stop along with D’shybreon Deary  (Odessa Permian HS/2021). Right out of the gate they all brought the intensity with a big win over Big BB academy as well as a 3-point win in overtime against Team GPS. With the resolve they have shown they are looking good headed into Sunday, the final day of action.
